New Xbox 360 'S' Consoles Redesigned
The Xbox 360 S is a redesign of the previous Xbox 360 consoles with a few new features thrown in. The core functions together with the user interface remain the same, and buyers will still be able to play the same games and media. The new Xbox 4GB Arcade version has a removable internal flash drive, while the 250GB Elite console hard drive, rather than fitting on the top of the unit, now slides through the bottom. For internet connection, the new Xbox 360's now come with Wii-Fit integration, so you wont have to use a wired LAN or go out and buy a seperate Wi-Fi adapter. The new Xbox 360 consoles now feature two extra USB ports (five in all) as well, so players will be able to store content on external drives or use wired controllers. There is also a dedicated USB port the the Kinect accessory, for gameplay, right out of the box. The dedicated port for Kinect that removes the requirement for an external power connection but previous Xbox 360 consoles will need a separate power supply in order to use Kinect. Microsoft has designed the new Xbox 360's with large vents to the sides of the unit that allow plenty of ventilation for heat to escape and the noise levels have been reduced significantly. The Xbox 360 'S' consoles now come with a 1 year warranty. The Xbox 360 4GB will retail at a price of around £149.99 and the 250GB model for RRP £199.99.
With the announcement of the new Xbox 360 S console, Microsoft have said that they believe that the machine is only mid-way through its lifecycle it will continue on through 2015.
New Xbox 360 Kinect Bundles
Whether you're a first-time Xbox 360 buyer or already an owner, you may have been tempted at the 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle and thought that a little more memory could go a long way. Well, Microsoft is set to seduce the masses with its newly announced 250GB Xbox 360 and Kinect Bundle that will be released at the same time as the already announced 4GB Kinect package. The new 250GB slim bundle will be packaged with a regular controller, the Kinect accessory and a copy of Kinect Adventures, so users will be able to try out the motion-device’s capabilities straight away. The new special edition 250GB Kinect bundle will launch on 10th November and is expected to retail for around £300. The Xbox 360 4GB Kinect bundle will retail for around £249.00.
Microsoft has carefully developed 15 new Kinect games that will be launched on November 10.
