Wii Fit Stock Shortage: Nintendo Reassures The Trade

As the Wii Fit stock shortage continues, Nintendo have issued a statement to the trade reassuring them that they will keep a steady flow of stock right up until peak season and are confident that stock issues are over.
UK stockists have stuggled to keep up with consumer demand for Wii Fit, which is said to be growing by 1000 people a day but Nintendo's UK trade and promotions manager Ben Taylor told MCV that's all in the past now.
In a statement he said:
“As we’ve always maintained, we continue to bring stock into the UK on a weekly basis and Wii Fit’s recent performance in the software chart is testament to this,”
The Wii Fit game has seen such phenomenal demand since launch that most high street and online retailers cannot keep up with demand. Other issues that face the consumer are over inflated prices and the fact that many retailers are only selling Wii Fit bundled with other games, bumping up the price even more.
Hopefully Nintendo will keep those Wii Fit stocks flowing thick and fast!
