Wii Fit - Possible Stock Shortage This Month

Nintendo has told MCV there could be stock shortages this month driven by the post Christmas health push.
With the usual sales of exercise equipment soaring after the public's Christmas excesses, many retailers are expecting a rise in sales of Nintendo's popular fitness game.
Nintendo are expecting demand for Wii Fit to continue with strong sales throughout the month of January as it has been since its launch in April 2008 but a spokesperson said:
"However, despite increasing global production and shipping more product into the market than ever before, we may still have some stock shortages of Wii Fit."
Wii Fit continues to grow in popularity fuelled with yet more media attention as this week, The Daily Mail ran a full feature entitled: 'How to get fit... with a Nintendo Wii'.
Last week Nintendo announced that it's launching a Wii video service this year also attracted media attention last week. Nintendo will kick off its own brand of video distribution in Japan but haven't announced a specific date for the service for the rest of us but they have stated that the Wii video service will expand worldwide at a "later" date.
