Nintendo Wii Most Searched For Gadget on the Internet

According to Comscore.com, the Nintendo Wii console was the most searched for gadget on the internet from UK users, averaging 3,758,069 weekly searches. The study was conducted in the first three weeks of November in the early stages of the busy Christmas shopping period.
In a report from dailytech.com "the consumer public’s appetite for the Wii is so insatiable that Nintendo has pulled its usual advertising in the UK for its console in hopes to not 'fuel demand' any further."

The demand for the Wii console along with its low availability may have fuelled this huge interest, as well as the fact that it has also sparked off interest with traditionally non-gamers. It would seem that your parents, auntie, uncle and grandma are just as likely to be interested in buying a Wii console!
The low stock availability for the Nintendo Wii has also led to a price increase from many retailers, who are often selling as bundles rather than just the console alone. As soon as retailers get the Wii console in stock, its gone in the blink of an eye. Amazon & Ebay, do however have the Nintendo Wii in stock althotugh its unlikely you'll find it at the original £179.99 price tag!
